The ICE 9000 has a 3-D tracer that is fast and is capable of tracing even the highly curved lens accurately. It is a fully automatic lens blocker that aligns multifocal, progressive and single vision lens automatically. The Santinelli ICE has limited function to single lens but for precise layout of multifocal and progressive lens it has the recognizing ability. When blocking lenses by manual systems, it becomes a challenging process that is tiring and time-consuming and it results in inaccuracies in the aligning, attaching and marking the lenses to the blocker.
